Craig Dillaplain has been chosen to represent Area 12 and PTOEC in the Special Olympics USA Games in New Jersey June 14 – 21st, 2014. As part of the Illinois Team, Craig will be swimming the 25 yard backstroke, 25 yard breast stroke, 50 yard back stroke and the 4X25 medley. That's a lot of swimming! The swimming events will be held at Princeton University. Craig will be staying with his team during the games. John & Jeanne Dillaplain, Craig’s parents, will attend the games to support Craig and they expect other family members to attend as well. Craig has been competing in Illinois Special Olympics since 1986 and has won numerous local and state medals. The team will have the opportunity to have a cruise around the historic sites of Manhattan including the Statue of Liberty! Other activities include a Trenton Thunder Baseball Game, Opening Ceremony at the Prudential Center in Newark and Closing ceremony at Sun National Bank Center. Congratulations Craig! All your PTOEC friends will be cheering for you!
