Our mission... is to provide planned recreational activities, socialization opportunities, and instructional opportunities for intellectually impaired individuals in the Metro-East area without regard to sex, race, religion, or national origin. As a part of its mission, the organization strives to provide worthwhile information and programming for parents as well as to increase community awareness, not only to the needs of the handicapped, but positive awareness of their strengths, attributes, and dignity.

Board of Directors: PTOEC is seeking volunteers to fill vacancies on the board of directors. The term is 3 years and is an excellent opportunity to serve our athletes and promote Special Olympics.

Saturday November 2, will be the first session of PTOEC snowshoeing! The kick-off practice will be at 10:00 AM at the Family Sportsplex in Belleville. Training sessions will be held on every Saturday from now until the regional competition on January 11th, 2014. This is a great opportunity to come out and learn a new sport. Senior and Junior Fun Nights!
Senior Fun Nights: The January senior fun night is January 10th at Pathways School - 2411 Pathways Crossing, Belleville - from 6:30 - 9:00 PM. All paid members in High School or older are invited. Cost is $5.
Junior Fun Nights: The December Junior Fun night is December 13th from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the Pathways School gym - 2411 Pathways Crossing, Belleville. Those 5 to 13 years old and interested in PTOEC are welcome. There's no cost.
