State Golf Competition in Decatur

September 11th and 12th was our State Golf Competition in Decatur.  We had 8 athletes that qualified for State competition. They all did great, and I am proud of each of them!!

The weekend results are:

• Tyler McDaniel -- Silver Medal -- 6 hole competition
  
• Stacey Morgan -- Silver Medal -- 6 hole competition
• Justin Im -- Bronze Medal -- 3 hole competition
• Thomas Stewart -- Bronze Medal -- Skills
• Katherine Nyenhuis -- 4th place -- Skills
• Jonathan Skortz -- 5th place  -- Skills
• Spencer Triefenbach -- 5th place -- Skills
• Ryan Reiner -- 7th place -- Skills

I want to also thank the following people who have given us their time and resources to develop more golfing skills and the love of golf:

• Dan Polites (DPgolf.com) (The Practice Tee) who has provided us with his facility and supplied us with his time and devotion to help our athletes.
  
• Bill Howard, Chuck Ballwin, and Steve Quinn who volunteered their time and skills to teaching our athletes.
  
• All of the golfing athletes' parents who helped their sons and daughters learn golf.
